Dr. Sharon Daloz Parks is the author of Leadership Can Be Taught: A Bold Approach for a Complex World (Harvard Business Press, 2005). Her master's degree is from Princeton Theological Seminary, and she earned her doctorate at Harvard University, where subsequently she served for sixteen years in faculty and research positions at the schools of Divinity, Business, and the Kennedy School of Government. She has also taught at the Weston Jesuit School of Theology. Currently she teaches at Seattle University, speaks and consults nationally, and is a senior fellow at the Whidbey Institute. Her publications include Big Questions, Worthy Dreams: Mentoring Young Adults in Their Search for Meaning, Purpose, and Faith, and she is co-author of Common Fire: Leading Lives of Commitment in a Complex World. She is the recipient of four honorary degrees.
